IPTV setup guide

IPTV setup made simple, on any device

Every IPTV setup comes down to three things: a player app, your login details and a decent connection. This guide explains each one, then walks you through the first run.

Credentials

The login details you may receive

IPTV players accept a few kinds of login. Your IPTVMGR details will match the app you use, and knowing the three types makes every setup screen easier to read.

Treat these details like a password. Anyone who has them can use one of your connections.

Setup

Set up IPTV in four steps

The same four steps apply to every device. Device pages below add the exact menus.

  1. Prepare your network

Connect the main TV device by Ethernet if possible, or check it gets a strong Wi-Fi signal where it sits.

  2. Install a player app

Use the app support recommended for your device, installed from the official app store where possible.

  3. Enter your details

Choose the matching login type in the app and paste or type your details exactly as sent.

  4. Test and tune

Play several channels, load the programme guide and adjust video settings. Then name the device in your account.

Avoid these

Common IPTV setup mistakes

If the app says your login is invalid or shows no channels, the cause is almost always on this list.

Mistake How to fix it
A typo in the server address Copy and paste where possible. Check http vs https and any port number (the part after a colon).
A space copied with the password Retype the last characters of each field; invisible spaces are a classic cause of “invalid login”.
Wrong login type chosen in the app Xtream Codes details go in the Xtream or “login” option, not the M3U option, and vice versa.
Wrong date or time on the device Set the time automatically. A wrong clock breaks the programme guide and secure connections.
Network filtering apps Ad blockers, DNS filters or VPN apps on the device can block the player. Test with them paused.

First run

First-run checklist

Once channels appear, spend five minutes checking the things that matter day to day. It is much easier to fix a setting now than in the middle of a match.

For a deeper explanation of each login type, read IPTV login types explained. For choosing between apps, see how to choose an IPTV player.

  • Several live channels start within a few seconds
  • The programme guide shows the right time and programmes
  • Picture fills the screen at the expected resolution
  • Audio is in sync and in the language you want
  • The app remembers your login after a restart
  • Favourites or categories are set up for quick access

Frequently asked questions

How long does IPTV setup take?

Usually 10 to 20 minutes for the first device, most of it installing the app. Additional devices take a few minutes each because you already know the steps.

Which login type should I use?

If your app supports Xtream Codes login, it is usually the most convenient because it loads the guide and categories automatically. Use the M3U URL for apps that only accept playlists, and device activation only when the app requires it.

What is an EPG and do I need one?

The EPG (electronic programme guide) shows what is on now and next. With an Xtream Codes login it loads automatically in most apps. With an M3U playlist some apps need a separate EPG link, which support can provide.

Can support set up IPTV for me?

Support cannot access your TV remotely, but they can guide you step by step in the WhatsApp chat, including screenshots of what you should see. Send your device and app name to get started.
